Putting together the Tahini Sauce
The main difference between tahini and peanut butter is that tahini is produced using sesame seeds rather than peanuts. It has a very smooth texture and a delicious flavor.
The sauce may be easily prepared by combining all of the ingredients in a bowl, but if you so desired, you could also use a food processor to make it. I add some lemon juice to the mixture in order to counteract the richness of the tahini, and I combine it with some yogurt in order to make it lighter.
There is one thing to keep in mind regarding this sauce, and that is that it will be rather thick if you simply use yogurt and tahini. However, before it may be spreadable, it must first be significantly diluted. I never use anything other than hot water for this, and you will need anything from a quarter to a half cup of hot water in order to get the desired consistency. It should be possible to distribute the sauce easily and it should be almost pourable. This is something that can be prepared in advance, maybe for a day or two, and then kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.
Falafel Prepared by Freezing and Reheating
If you have any leftover falafel discs, which you will most likely have since each pita sandwich requires around four to five falafel and this recipe yields approximately thirty falafel, you may store them in the refrigerator for five to six days, or you can freeze them for longer storage in zip-top bags that are airtight by placing them in the freezer.
Please reheat them in an oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for around ten to twelve minutes, or until they are warmed and crispy once again. Reheating them in the air fryer for a second time for a few minutes at a lower temperature of 300 degrees Fahrenheit is another option if you want to experiment with it once more.
